ATV CHALLENGE CUP BULGARIA 2009
REGULATIONS
I. GENERAL
ATV Challenge Cup Bulgaria 2009 is a championship for ATVs, consist of 3 (three) competitions/rounds. ORGANIZERS of the championship are sport club 4x4 Adventure and ATV Commission at Bulgarian Motorcycle Federation.
ATV Challenge Cup Bulgaria 2009 is ruled by these Regulations and all Jury decisions, taken during the races.
ATV Challenge Cup Bulgaria 2009 is on a permanent track, without navigation. The tracks have also natural and artificial obstacles.
ІІ. REGISTRATION AND ENTRY FEES
All competitors will fill up a declaration and application form, an electronic type and after arriving they have to sigh up autographically all required documents. Applications are accepted 30 days before the start of the race.
On the registration the competitors will receive a T-shirt with number and name of the pilot. The start number is given according to the number of the application form. It is obligatory for all participants during the race to wear the T-shirt given by the ORGANIZER.
All riders have to posses a valid license issued by their national federation, UEM or FIM.
The competitors under 18 years old have to present originally certification “Parent agreement”.
Entry fee:
50 EUR for competitor in class 2WD or 4WD. The fee includes competition rights, T-shirt, medical insurance by the time of the competition, prize fond, and official cocktail.
25 EUR for classes Mini Junior, Junior and Women. The fee includes competition rights, T-shirt, medical insurance by the time of the competition, prize fond and official cocktail.
The participation fee has to be transferred by bank 30 days before the competition. Competitors who pay less then 30 days before the start of the race, have to pay double fee.
Each rider has to indicate in the application form the number and the names of the mechanics and managers who will be able to enter the pit-stop zone during the race.
III. CATEGORIES AND CLASSES
Class Mini Junior – Participants up to 10 years old; Open class.
Class Junior – the participants are between 10 and 16 years old; Open Class.
Class Women – Open class.
Class 2WD - ATV – 2x4 Open class.
Class 4WD - ATV – 4x4 Open Class.
IV. CALCULATION OF THE RESULTS
ATV Challenge Cup Bulgaria 2009 is a championship in three rounds. The classifications are Individual, Team and by Nation.
Individual results: For each competition the riders receive points. The winner in the championship is the rider with the highest number of point received in the three races of ATV Challenge Cup Bulgaria 2009.
Points will receive the first 15 riders according to the following table:

Team classification: Team participation has to be declared in a team application form (received by the ORGANIZER). Each team has to consist of at least 4 and maximum 8 riders in different classes. For the final results will be taken the best 4 individual results of the team’s competitors. In case of equal points between two or more teams the number of first places (or taken places) will be determinative. The team on the first place has the right to participate in the next round of ATV Challenge Cup Bulgaria 2009 without participation fee for the riders, whose points were taken for the classification.
Classification by Nation: In this classification will be taken the 4 best individual results of each nation’s riders. The nation on the first place has the right to participate in the next round of ATV Challenge Cup Bulgaria 2009 without participation fee for the riders, whose points were taken for the classification.
V. TECHNICAL CONTROL
The technical control is completed just before the start in each of the series in the both of the days. The competitors have to be equipped with helmets (Cross Helmet), protectors for arms, knees, elbows and backs, boots for enduro or motocross, gloves and goggles, T-shirt given by the Organizer. If a competitor does not have any part of the equipment, he/she will not be allowed to start!
Technical control of the ATV:
• Nerf bars are obligatory.
• It is obligatory to have a kill switch device.
• All sharp elements and winches are forbidden.
VІ. PADDOCK
All participants and assistance have their own place in the Paddock for caravans, campers and tents. The Paddock is the only place where repair of the ATV is allowed. All repayments have to be made on an eco mat. The ORGANIZER supplied the Paddock area with water, electricity, bathrooms and WC.
VІІ. PRE-START ZONE/WAITING ZONE
30 minutes before start all competitors have to put their ATVs in the Pre-start zone. It is forbidden to start the engine in this zone. Leaving the Pre-start zone and entering the Start zone has to be made only after a Marshal’s signal. During the race practicing and free riding around the track is forbidden between 08:00 and 17:00 o’clock. Riders who do not respect these rules will be penalized by disqualification.
VІІІ. PARC FERMÉ
After the final of each series the finished competitors have to enter the Parc ferme and wait for a Marshal’s signal to leave it.
ІХ. FORMAT OF THE RACE
The first competitive day is considered as QUALIFICATION for the final. The starting order is according to the chronological order of the application forms. 25 competitors will start simultaneously. If there are more then 25 riders in a class, the competitors could be divided in series.
The first 25 riders with the best time results qualified for the final A. for the rest of the riders will be final B.
The starting order for the final is according to the results of the riders during qualifications. According to their place the riders choose their position on the start.
According to weather conditions and the track’s specifics the ORGANIZER defines the number of the laps per each round.
The best time for the whole distance and the number of completed laps are defining for the final ranking. After the leader completes his final lap, all riders will be stopped.
Х. CLOSED TRACK
The competitive track is a professional off-road polygon with length between 3 and 4 kilometers. The track includes speed segments, artificial obstacles, loading platform for jumps, long elbows and possibilities for overtaking. It is fenced and secured.
Mini Junior and Junior Classes have shorter and easier part of the whole track. The total competitive distance for these classes is between 5 and 7 kilometers per day.
Woman Class has shorter part of the whole track. The total distance for this class is between 10 and 15 kilometers per day.
2WD and 4WD classes have whole track. Their total distance is maximum 30 kilometers per day.
The motion on the track is between bands. Riding outside the bands with purpose of avoiding a difficult part and shorten the track is penalized with disqualification.
Rude and non sporting behavior during the race is penalized with disqualification.
ХІ. TIME KEEPING
The official time keeping of the event is held by licensed time keepers and Official Jury. The TIME MEASURING will be completed by electronic transponders and the times of the both days will be summarized. The participant with the best time for the whole distance of the two competitive days is the winner in his class.
During the registration each riders will receive his/her personal transponder for a deposit of 100 EUR. The deposit will be returned after the final for the personal transponder.
ХІІ. ASSISTANCE
Technical help and assistance are allowed in defined zone – pit-stop. The competitive time of each participant is still running while he is in the pit-stop. Each rider is allowed to have no more then two mechanics in the zone. The coming out from the pit-stop zone must be just after lead signal from the judge.
ХІІІ. RACE DIRECTION
The Secretariat of ATV Challenge Cup is situated in the track. There will be provided the registration, briefings, cocktails and awarding ceremony of the participants!
IX. ACCOMMODATION
The organizer does not have engagement for accommodation, but will cooperate to all participants.

Bil pred leti na tekmovanju v neposredni bližini,(Kazanlak). Čudovita pokrajina za ATV, gorovje Stara Planina se vleče od 1500-2300 n/m, skratka raj tudi za izlete. Se splača zraven turistično oz. tistim, ki ne mislijo tekmovati. Sam že razmišljam v tej smeri.

Lansko leto je zmagu...
Pa še neki, če bi ti XXXL vso to svojo energijo in čas, ki jo namenjaš podobnim odgovorom namenil pomoči za pripravo in organizacijo dirk v SLO, bi se dirk tu lahko kar trlo. Ampak ne, laže je od daleč opazovati in kritizirati pri vsaki najmanjši napaki, kot pa pomagat da bi s skupnimi močni naredili več in bistveno hitreje.
Da letos nastopam za hrvaški klub je popolnoma samoumevno, saj smo se za to dogovorili že v jeseni 2008, ko še ni bilo rečeno, da se v CRO lahko vozi s SLO licenco. Poleg tega smo dogovorjeni, da ko bo v Sloveniji prvenstvo, ne pa samo pokal, nas bo več imelo slovensko licenco.
Glede na to, da pa se na letaku pojavlja, da jaz tekmujem za CRO in ne SLO sem jim že poslal mail, da nastopam za hrvaški klub in za SLO in ne za CRO in da naj spremenijo (čeprav bi glede na zadnja dogajana v SLO morda raje tekmoval za kako drugo športu bolj prijazno državo, ker mi je skoraj malce nerodno, da predstavljam ...).
